Happy Friday! This year, I really want to focus more on the beauty category because I feel that I don’t post about it enough- especially having a passion for the industry, and that I am constantly trying out new products. Today I am sharing my current beauty favorites I’ve been really loving lately.
PS: These Pictures ^ were shot in my fabulous bathroom when I stayed at The Morrow House in WACO TX last month. #Dreamy – did you see this TUB?
Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter
This has been my FAVORITE HIGHLIGHTER of all time! This product makes you actually feel like you are wearing an Instagram filter over your face. It gives me the perfect glow! I apply it instead of highlighter or, on nights that I REALLY want a glow, I put it on under some more highlighter. The perfect place to apply this is on top of your cheek bones, under your eyebrows and on your cupids bow (just above your lip). Also, I’ve had it for over a year and there is PLENTY left.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Palette
I received this palette in my Boxycharm Box last month and it’s all I use! I love all the neutral colors that can go from day to night in this eyeshadow palette. I especially love this palette for traveling because I don’t have to pack any extra colors for my eyes. Have you subscribed to Boxycharm yet? I find most of my favorite beauty finds from this awesome subscription service!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Speaking of Boxycharm, this little find was also in my Boxycharm Box last month! I am always on a mascara journey. My mascara “flavor of the moment” is this Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. It gives my lashes the perfect amount of fullness and length. I also love the wand it comes with.
La Mer The Renewal Oil
OK. THIS. Let me just start off by saying that I have a love/hate relationship with La Mer because of their high price point. I don’t mind investing in my skin because you only get one (face), but I have tried a few La Mer products and have never really seen the true difference I would need to see to invest in it. DO NOT send me hate mail…I have plenty of people in my life that swear by “the miracle broth,” and it works wonders for their skin -like my mom! With all that being said, THIS OIL IS MY SKIN MVP. I have been receiving compliments on my skin ever since I started using it and became absolutely hooked. I have super sensitive/dry skin and have never been able to put any kind of oil on it, but this is the ultimate exception. I put a few drops on in the morning and in my moisturizer at night. If I want an extra glow for a night out, I mix a couple of drops in to my foundation! Although it is a skin investment, it is one of La Mer’s more affordable products. Take that for what it’s worth! The Renewal Oil also comes in two sizes- I have the smaller size and find it lasts me up to 3-4 months depending on how often I use it.
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
Boxycharm sent me this stunning Tatcha Gift Set this past holiday season and this little guy was in there! I love setting my makeup with this when I want a dewy finish, and I also spray this when I feel my skin needs a little pick-me-up on really dry days in LA.
Le Labo The´ Noir 29 Perfume
I’m a total perfume hoarder. There, I said it. And I LOVE me some Le Labo! I currently use a bunch of their products like their skincare, hand wash, candles – I can go on! But their perfume is like none other. My signature scent is Santal 33 (I know, so is half of New York’s but I’m over it because it sparks major joy for me.) However, this past Fall I visited Le Labo’s flagship store in Brooklyn and fell completely, head-over-heels in love with this scent. It is so unique and has these clean, spicy, yet herbal notes to it- almost like a “black tea” essence. It’s what I’ve been wearing lately, and I love smelling different & unlike anyone else. If you’re looking for something unique- smell this!
Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Cream
If you suffer from dark under-eye circles like me, this is a good one. It has this shiny, slightly shimmery texture to it, and gives me that perfect brightness that I need. It really will BRIGHTEN though, so if you are looking for something less shimmery and bright, try their other option (The Restorative Eye Cream). I currently ran out of this one, and am trying out the Restorative Eye Cream this time around. Will report back with which one I liked more.
Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask
Beauty Samples are so dangerous. I find myself declining samples at Aesop because everything I try from that brand I end up loving, like this mask! (Who are we kidding- bring on ALL the samples!) I use this mask at least once a week, and when I have a few breakouts through the month, I find myself spot treating with this. It cleanses my pores and makes my skin feel refreshed and super clean.
