Spring has finally sprung! My favorite season is officially upon us, and I am so excited to share some of my favorite trends. Let’s start with a style that has not only been gracing us on countless runways and fashion weeks lately, but has been around for decades and deemed a fashion classic for ages: Women’s Suiting – The Blazer.
I have never really been a “blazer” kind of gal, just because I feel like blazers can be so serious, or they can make an outfit too professional looking. I used to only wear a blazer if I had an interview or for presentations at school. But this season, they have been made in all different silhouettes, colors and patterns.
Blazers can be styled in a variety of ways and for different occasions. Below are 5 tips on how to style a blazer for Spring.
Who says blazers have to be professional? Pump up your Spring wardrobe by looking for a fun color or pattern. This Free People ( ON SALE) one I styled here is one of my Spring essentials for my wardrobe.
Casual Friday? Style your blazer with some ripped jeans and sneakers to make your polished piece a little more relaxed.
Suiting is all over the runway. Pair your blazer with a matching trouser- especially in a simple one-color ensemble.
If you are styling an oversized or boyfriend blazer that is not fitted, style is with a skinny jean or tighter bottom. Add some height by wearing heels, especially if the blazer is long.
Blazers don’t have to be paired with blouses or collared shirts! Pair your blazer with a graphic t-shirt for a more casual feel.
