IT. IS.HOT. If you live in Miami, you know exactly what I’m talking about! Holy Smokes (literally!). Summer is almost (officially) here, and we can already feel the heat waves rolling in. SO there is good news and bad news. I’ll give you the bad news first, right? If you are a Miami local, then the A/C is no longer an option, but a complete necessity, if you don’t want to melt. Say goodbye to opening the sunroof in your car, or opening your windows while jamming to your fave song and sipping iced tea. You just can’t. BUT I’m going to stop being so negative about the heat, and tell you the good news! Say hello to tropical colors, shorts and light-weight fabrics! I feel like the heat and tropical colors go together like lemonade and a hot summer day. Even though it’s warm, I feel so much better when I’m wearing orange (call me strange). Some of you might be wondering why the heck I’m wearing pants. Well, I am a total shorts kind of girl, BUT when I found these harem pants at Nordstrom I fell in love. They are perfect when shorts can’t be an option, if you want to be a bit fancier, or if you aren’t in a shorts kind of mood. The fabric is so lightweight and comfortable, and the color is versatile and easy to mix with different looks. Not to mention, they are SO chic.

Nordstrom Wayf Pants, Nordstrom Top, House of Harlow Necklace (different color here), Steve Madden Shoes, Henri Bendel Bag (new version here), Henri Bendel Ring, Bauble Bar Monogram Necklace, Stella and Dot Bracelet, Urban Oufitters Sunnies (in-store), Essie Bikini-so-Teeny Nails.
