Winter Beauty Favorites

I know spring is just around the corner, but I just came back from NYC yesterday where it was just snowing, and am currently in the dry climates of LA, so I thought I would share some of my favorite beauty + skincare favorites for dry or cold times of the year.

I personally have very dry skin no matter what time of the year it is, but the bizarre thing is that I was born and raised in Miami where it’s extremely humid, and most people do not struggle with dry skin. When I started spending a lot of my time in LA, which has an extremely dry climate, my skin didn’t know what to do and started freaking out. It needed even MORE moisture. What all of these products have in common is their extremely moisturizing ingredients.

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps

This isn’t the most luxurious of creams and doesn’t smell like anything special because it’s unscented, but it is truly the best body cream. I use this right after I take a shower every night. And it’s also great for very sensitive skin.

Amore Pacific Moisture Serum

Before last year, I never really knew about the power of serums. They have made such a difference since I incorporated them into my daily skincare routine. I use this Amore Pacific one on chilly days or if I see my skin is needing some extra moisture. Plus it smells delicious and is filled with incredible ingredients.

Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick

It’s hard to wear a bold lipstick when it’s cold outside because it dries out your lips- and lips that are peeling with color are no fun. This little magic stick is 1) adorable 2) has the most moisturizing formula 3) comes in countless beautiful hues. This color “Mauvelous” is the perfect pink for every day! It has been in my purse since the day I received it.

Patchology Eye Gels

THESE! I don’t know how I lived without them. I’m not being dramatic (maybe a little). After long nights or tiring weeks, you can really tell under my eyes. These gels are the best things since the chilled cucumbers, except they actually moisturize and stay put under your eyes. I usually use them right before an event or photoshoot, or if I have an early morning meeting and my eyes are puffy.

Patchology Lip Gels

Speaking of the brand Patchology, they also sent me these lip gels to try and I have fallen in love with them. My lips get SO dry in SoCal and on hot days in Miami, and sometimes chapstick just doesn’t do the trick. These are like little masks for your lips! They are packed with moisture and make your lips feel soft, smooth and most importantly, ready for kisses.
