When in Doubt, Punk It Out (And Put A Bow On It) #OOTD…

Ah, the punk craze. Ever since The Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art) started their Costume Institute exhibition, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, punk has been the new hot craze. This amazing exhibit examines “punk’s impact on high fashion from the movement’s birth in the early 1970s through its continuing influence today.” (Conde Nast) If you are like me, and unfortunately cannot grab a flight to New York by August 14th to see it, grab a quick preview here.

So this outfit was inspired by the Punk craze and the new tie dye trend. Tie Dye is definitely going to be a HUGE trend this fall. Many designers and celebrities are wearing it now in the summer to transition into the autumn season. Stay tuned for more Tie Dye as the Fall season gets closer and closer. So, I saw this top yesterday at Forever 21 and I had to have it. It’s so witty and perfect for those days when you have no idea what to wear (and for those of you who don’t know “OOTD” is a popular hashtag used to tag your “outfit of the day”).
