Happy #WeddingWednesday everyone! I have been holding on to my wedding video/trailer (by the incredible ladies of Reel Feels) for almost an entire year, and now that our first wedding anniversary passed on Saturday, I thought it was the perfect excuse to finally share it with you all.
To be completely honest, Luke and I were very skeptical and almost didn’t think we needed a wedding video when we first started planning. The decision to have a wedding video was actually one of the final details (still months before) that we finalized, and once we met Tessa and Maddie from Reel Feels and saw their work, we felt more open to the idea. Long story short, this brief trailer of details from our wedding in motion was the absolute best memory that we have! We actually wished we would have asked for a longer video! Although nothing will truly capture the true MAGIC of the day, a video captures emotions and details that you sometimes miss because of how fast the day/weekend goes by. Luke and I also wanted the video to be short snippets from the day, as opposed to having a video of the entire experience, because we wanted everything to look and feel organic, as though someone were a “fly on the wall” looking in to our festivities. Tessa and Maddie were absolutely incredible and never posed us- we didn’t even notice they were there half of the time! One of the best investments we could have ever made on our wedding day was our video.
Below is a little description/the sweetest words that The Reel Feels ladies wrote in a blog post on their site, featuring our video.
“Jackie + Luke threw THE most picture-perfect wedding that Malibu has ever seen.We started out with the girls getting ready at the Four Seasons in West Lake Village, where they drank champagne, listened to music, got pampered and Jackie got to open a wedding gift from her new husband! After that, we all headed to The Dome at Saddlerock Ranch- this place is seriously heaven. They have tons of animals and even do wine safaris! The ceremony spot is at the top of the mountain, overlooking Malibu vineyards, as far as the eye can see. When we first got to the venue, it was so foggy that you couldn’t see a view at all! About 15 minutes before the ceremony started, the fog cleared just enough to see the mountains. It wound up giving the film so much character. Romantic AF.It’s hard for me to put into words what Jackie spent months and months working tirelessly on to make a reality – thank god I brought cameras! “
Hope you all enjoyed a little peek of our wedding day! According to a poll I took on my Instagram the other day, a lot of your are interested in seeing more wedding content and details from our wedding. I am going to start creating more content around this and sharing more details about my wedding day for my fellow + future brides! (Like the stunning floral work that Ever After Floral Design created- Helen and her team are the “Beyonce’s of floral design.” – TRUE STORY)
With Love Always,
jackie
