Who says you only have to wear pastels in the Spring? Not I! I never used to be one to wear black ever, but I’ve had quite a love affair with he color this whole year. Personally, I love to wear black-on-black at night, or even on days that I just don’t know what to put together. It seems to be a color thats everyones go-to, but not the first one to be picked for a daytime Spring outfit. So I thought I would share 4 tips to style the color black in the Spring. Here we go!
1
With Light-Washed Denim
There is nothing more Spring or Summer than light-washed denim. I personally love the distressed kind because it gives any look a bit of an edge. When pairing a faded-washed jean with black, it makes the look more laid-back and cool.
2
Add a Straw Hat or Fedora
The minute you add a Panama hat to ANY outfit, you know the day is going to be a sunny one. Hats remind me of sitting beachfront tanning, or walking around a tropical destination, so when you add that with a dark hue like black, it makes the outfit automatically ready for a good time. aka: Spring Break, Summer Vacation, Holiday.

3 Words: Off-The-Shoulder
This one needs no explanation. You would probably never wear an off-the-shoulder top in the Fall or Winter when it’s cold. (I’ve done it and its miserable to layer – rightfully so, the point is to bear your shoulders.) So it makes sense to add a black one to your wardrobe for the Spring months.

Pair it with Light Wooden Tones
Light tones of wood and straw go so well with black. I love that the colors really tone down the sophistication of black and make it more casual without losing the chic vibe. PS: This Cult Gaia Arc bag is my new favorite accessory! I have been styling all weekend long, and wearing it with everything.
