Hi everyone! My name is Jackie, and I am a fashion and lifestyle blogger at adashofpanache.com ! I am very new to the “blogsphere,” so I was so honored and excited that Steph asked me to be a guest blogger while she is out being fabulous in Italy. She asked me to blog about travel style (only my favorite subject!), so I came up with this little mood board about my personal travel essentials.
Some key points that you want to think about while packing for a summer trip is comfort and versatility. You want to make sure and pack pieces that you can mix and match with each other, and of course, turn from a day look to a night one. Since it’s summer, it is safe to assume that the weather will be warm wherever your destination may be. You could start off by packing the basics: colorful shorts, linen tops, easy dresses/ skirts and a jean jacket or vest. Then, you can start adding small pieces like a lightweight scarf or fedora hat to chic it up a bit. For a day to night look, you can wear a maxi dress (11) with sandals, and when the sun goes down, throw a jean jacket with a necklace and wedged heels for a casual dinner.
Neutral colors (grey and taupe are my favorite) are great to pack because they go with basically anything in your suitcase. Love color like me? Try to stick to a color scheme for your trip so that you don’t overpack and you can mix different pieces with others. For example, for this mood board, I tried to stick to blue and yellow tones with pops of pink for accessories. Also, don’t forget to pack lots of SPF and sun-safe items (4,5,8,16). Last, but not least, a great reliable purse (17). Steph actually has this purse! I totally fell in love with it and had to copy her (in a different color of course ;). The links for the items on the board are below. Thanks you so much for reading !
Toodles!
