It may be Fall, but it is still HOT in Los Angeles and Miami. This was my take on a Fall day in LA. Flare jeans are making a come back, and although I may have been a little scared about the trend, I may be warming up to it now.
Flare jeans can be extremely flattering, they just have to be styled the right way for your body type. For example, I look back at my early childhood photos of me drowning in my Old Navy flares and think “Why did I ever think it was OK to wear chunky Sketchers with those jeans?” It happened to the best of the 90’s kids. Plus, if the Spice Girls did it, it was automatically acceptable.
This time around I gave the old flares a try again, I made sure to take into account what would flatter my body type. I went with this Hudson pair because 1.) They were on sale and 2.) I really loved the color to transition from Summer to Fall. I linked some more colors and styles of flare jeans I like below. Because the jeans were so baggy at the bottom, I pared them with a tighter fitting top. I added a handkerchief scarf and a necklace for some panache. And of course, the most important rule when you are going o rock the flare: wear heels. Wearing flats will kill the whole vibe and make you look frumpy. Heels will make your legs look longer and give you more length, (flares tend to run long and you never want them to drag too much on the floor).
