It’s that time of year again: September! That awkward month where fashionistas get a bit confused as to what fashion season they are in: Summer or Fall? Technically, we are still in Summer, but magazines, stores and, even Starbucks start throwing us Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Fall Issues, sweaters and boots! What’s a girl to do, (or wear), especially in Miami, where we will be lucky to have a gust of cool breeze ?! Well, don’t fret my pet! This post is about converting your summer outfits in to Fall ones.
I chose a very summery piece to start with: a striped maxi skirt (a girls best friend). For a hot summer day, you can top it with a neon flowy tank and some sandals. The good thing about stripes is that they are appropriate all year long (especially in Miami, I consider them a neutral). Changing the look to fall requires layers, earthy colors and perhaps, some booties. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wear booties with this fall look because I was on vacation while taking these pictures, so I didn’t pack any. Colors are a large factor when changing your looks from summer to fall. For the fall look, I layered neutrals with a small pop of pink. A military vest will be a great item to keep all throughout fall because it instantly completes just about any outfit without making you hot; because you want to layer and it’s 90 degrees outside (Miami girl problems).
such a chic both of styles. Love the way you wear the stripes dress with the neon top and the millitary vest.
