Take 5

Happy Friday everyone! I get a lot of random questions not pertaining to fashion like “Where do you receive inspiration?”, “What restaurants do you recommend?”, ect. So I decided to start posting more content besides just my personal style. I am launching a little section of my blog called “Take 5” in which I will share 5 little random bits of what I’m reading, listening to, baking, where I grabbed a bite to eat, (You get it, right?). I hope you all enjoy and take 5 minutes of your Friday to get inspired! If you have a question or something you want me to feature, please comment below!

1. Interior: “How to Add Light in a Windowless Room” – I though this article was pretty helpful, especially since a dark room is one of my pet peeves. Picture Via Apartment Therapy
2. Currently Listening To : Vance Joy. I went to his concert when his tour passed by Miami a couple of weeks ago, and when I heard him live again (He opened for Taylor Swift last October), I fell even more in love with his music. Take a little listen here. (PS: That picture in the right top corner is of my gold record player is actually playing Vance’s vinyl. My BFF and photographer Roxy gifted to me for my birthday!)
3.  In The Kitchen: A Salted Vanilla Cake that I WANT to make. Keyword: WANT. I’m not a baker, but this cake caught my eye in this month’s Domino Magazine. (This issue is seriously the best. Every page made my interior design heart skip a beat.) PS: I’ve looked for this recipe everywhere and haven’t found one. Apparently this one is top secret. Stay tuned! Picture via Domino Mag
4. Words to live by: Be Kind. Every time I see a graphic with these words, I pin it. Sometimes we need to be reminded that kindness is key. Picture via They All Hate Us. (Ironic right?) LOL
5. Designer Nails: I’m not one for nail art. It’s not really my style. However, I was inspired by one of my favorite fashion label’s logo, Comme des Garçons. I saw blogger Chiara Ferragni‘s nail and had to attempt it. I think it came out pretty well! I took the advice from this little tutorial I pinned on my Pinterest account.
