Forever 21 Beanie (in store, but similar here), J.Crew Sweater, Zara Leggings ( in-store), Steve Madden Shoes, Henri Bendel Bag (old, but similar here), House of Harlow Necklace, Bauble Bar Necklace, J.Crew Bracelet, Zara Rings (In store).
Sometimes, you just need to top an outfit off with a neon beanie. I found this one in Forever 21 and just had to have it (just like anything else that is chartreuse/lime). These Zara faux leather leggings go with literally anything; you can go casual chic with a plaid shirt and booties, or dress it up with a silk button down and some heels. You may not be able to see it in these pictures, but the stitching and detailing on these are just perfection (they actually reminded me of the JBrand pair that came out this season ). And of course, there is my favorite sweater that I own in 3 different colors (and I can’t seem to get enough of them!) It literally goes with everything.
Love you all! Have a lovely weekend!

Hello my lovely readers! I’m so sorry I have been lost for a while. I am graduating this week (I know! So Crazy!) , and I’ve been soooo busy! But I hope to be blogging regularly again.
Anyway, on to more interesting things: I love elbow patches. I personally think that every sweater should have elbow patches; they are so much fun! I know Miami is not the cooloest place on the planet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pull out a sweater, fabulous boots and felt hat! Let’s talk lipstick: plum/maroon/vamp seems to be quite the trend this season. At first, I kind of flinched when I saw this dark hue on any day that wasn’t Halloween, but Nordstrom Dadeland gifted me this hue at their Topshop event, and I actually loved it! The perfect color for a Fall/Wintery day (even if it is 80 degrees outside).

“…Is All The Time!”
F21 Sweater (similar here), J.Crew Pixie Pants, DV for Target Boots (old), J.Crew Necklace, Cambridge Satchel, J.Crew/Stella & Dot Arm Party, Lips: Nars Satin Lip Pencil in “Luxembourg,” Ray-Ban Wayfarer Sunnies.
Happy Monday everyone! I’m so sorry that I haven’t posted in what seems like a century; I had the flu and it was not fun. But I am so glad to be back and share with all of you one of my favorite fall staples that you can use all year round and will NEVER go out of style: The Striped Sweater. Just like the song says: “The best time to wear a striped sweater…is all the time!” If you watched Spongebob Squarepants as a child, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Striped sweaters are versatile and can be styled in so many different ways. I paired this one with my favorite pants for fall: Pixies from J.Crew. They fit like leggings, but are actually made from a thicker material like pants: they are like gloves for your legs! I chose to make this look more chic than casual, so I topped it with some colorful jewels. Combat boots tones down the look a bit, and you can’t forget the red lips for some panache (I felt like Taylor Swift: stripes and red lips are totally her thing).

J.Crew Sweater, J.Crew Shorts, Steve Madden Boots, LF Beanie (In-store), J.Crew necklace (in-store), Nars “Schiap” Lips, Ray Ban Sunnies, Nails: “Cocktail Bling” by Essie.
In honor of breast cancer awareness month, this week I will using pink as the primary color of my posts (which is not a sacrifice being that it is my favorite color). Just because pink is usually type-casted as a Spring color, doesn’t mean you can’t rock it in the Fall, especially when it means supporting breast cancer awareness month. So, I have created a Fall color chart on how to use pink this season without looking like a spring flower. In this outfit, I paired pink with a camel color and a hint of gray.
This boyfriend sweater is on super sale at J.Crew. And as I’ve mentioned before, it is one of my favorite fall staples. I have this sweater in about 3 different colors; every time they go on sale, I grab another! You can dress it up with leggings or dress it down with shorts and some boots. (Another color pictured here in a previous post, and how appropriate that it is PINK!? Coincidence? I think not.)

LF Kimono (in-store), Lucky Brand Tank (old), J.Crew Shorts, Steve Madden Booties, J.Crew Purse, Nars Lips in “Luxembourg,” Ray Ban Sunnies, MK Watch, Nails: Essie “Chinchilly”.
Kimonos seemed to be quite the trend this summer, and even now carrying over to the fall. They are the perfect accessory for layering in Miami because of the light and wispy fabric. I scored this paisley one on super sale at this boutique called LF (one of my favorite finds in LA). Kimonos are great to add a hint of boheme to any look, from a dress to shorts, to even jeans.

Yay, for DIY’s! (Do it yourself) Confession: I am not the craftiest person in the world. Honestly, I started painting pumpkins last year because I knew if I even ATTEMPTED to carve a pumpkin, it would look like a giant mess. But painting mini pumpkins is easy, fun and you can get very creative without making a giant mess. PLUS, there are so many fun places you can put them to add some holiday cheer into your space or home.
-Glitter glue or Mod Podge
There are so many things you can do to decorate a pumpkin! These are just a few ideas and techniques that I used.
One technique to make a striped pumpkin is to use tape to make the lines and paint over it with the colors that you like (I used gold because its one of my all-time favorite colors of the moment and it matches my room).
The second pumpkin I decorated consisted of polkadots and chartreuse (my second favorite color). I used a Martha Stewart circle sponge because of my lack of artistic abilities, but if you can free-hand polkadots, DO IT!
My personal favorite pumpkin decor tool : GLITTER! This little baby pumkin is my favorite because it sparkles. BEWARE: this can get very messy! Try to do this outside…I learned the hard way. Just spread glitter glue wherever you want the glitter to stick ( I chose to cover the entire pumpkin, but you can try an hombre effect). Then pour the glitter on it over a small plate.
Last, but not least! I absolutely love white pumpkins, even just plain. At first, I just painted the stem chartreuse. But then, I thought the pumpkin looked a little naked next to the other ones, so I put my favorite doodle all around it (the only thing I can decently draw like a kindergardener): hearts.
And voilå! You’ve got yourself four adorable little pumpkins to place everywhere from a book shelf to a coffee table, to your night stand or on a tray for embellishment. Here are my final pumpkins and some ideas on where to place them ( I move mine like every day).

Shop My Look: Gap Sweater (old), American Eagle Shorts, Steve Madden Booties, Rebecca Minkoff Purse, J.Crew Necklace (old but similar here), BaubleBar Monogram Necklace, Anthropologie Sunnies, Nails: Essie’s “Cocktail Bling”
Down side to living in Miami during the Fall: you don’t get colorful falling leaves. Upside to living in Miami in the Fall: you can wear shorts and stripes, and go swimming. Coconut Grove is such a perfect place to hang out on a Fall afternoon. You can have lunch on the dock and watch the boats sail by while sipping on a piña colada at “Monti’s.” Or sip an iced latte from the new hidden Starbucks right next door (Caro and I’s new favorite Starbucks). Slap some tortoise shell sunnies and necklace, booties and a cross-body; you’ve got yourself another “Fall in Miami” look.

I am beyond excited for this weekend! Why? (You ask). Well, because Topshop in Nordstrom Dadeland has a brand new look, and they are celebrating by hosting a re-launch party this Saturday, Oct.12. I am so honored that Nordstrom asked me join them, and to pick some of my favorite Fall Topshop looks. So here they are! Come get your “british fashion” on, and join me from 1 pm to 4 pm for some fashion, shopping, music and fun! There is going to be a DJ spinning some jams while you shop, a gift with your purchase of $100 or more (while supplies last), PLUS goodie bags for the first 100 attendees (so get there early)! I already took a sneak peek of the new space, and it looks just like the Topshop NYC store! So chic and fabulous.

J.Crew Sweater (c/o), J.Crew Pants (c/o), J.Crew Shoes (c/o), J.Crew Necklace (c/o), J.Crew Bag (c/o), J.Crew Hat (c/o).
Happy first day of October! I am so excited for J.Crew Dadeland’s Style Session this Saturday, October 5th! In honor of the event, I’ve picked out some of my favorite J.Crew Fall looks. This weekend will be specifically for students, teachers and professionals. This look is perfect for a casual Friday at work, or a chilly day running between classes and the library.
Navy, Black and Maroon seem to be quite the color trend this Autumn. I think one of my favorite details in this look (besides the FABULOUS jewels and metallic gold shoes) are the leather elbow patches on the sweater! J.Crew, why must you steal my heart ever time I walk in your store?! Stay tuned for more J.Crew Fall looks this week.
I hope to see you all on Saturday! The event will be from 12 to 4 at J.Crew Dadeland, and if you are a student or teacher, you will get 15% off of your purchase with a valid ID.
